"The Theos" was an abbreviation of The Theologians.

Listen to "I will laugh again" played by The Theos (recording supplied by Anthony Henson):

This was recorded during the winter of 1963/4 at the school. Written and produced by Bill Carnell, recorded by Buck Ryan and then submitted, unsuccessfully, to "Opportunity Knocks".

Anthony Henson adds: "we were quite proud of that recording and looking through old diaries I had forgotten quite how enthusiastic Bill Carnell was. We used to practice on Sundays in the basement of my house in Croydon, and he actually came down on two occasions to listen".

The final nucleus of the band which continued for a while after we had left the CSTS in the summer of 1964 was:

Dave Winslett lead guitar, Trevor Cole rhythm guitar, Barry (Mich) Mitchell bass guitar, Tony (Ted) Henson Vox Continental organ and vocals, Tony (Lou) Edwards drums and vocals.
