I left CSTS in 1962 to study maths and physics at the Imperial College of Science and Technology and left in 1969 with BSc, ARCS, DIC and PhD diplomas. I emigrated to South Africa in 1970 and worked for about 45 years with the chamber of Mines Resarch Organisation and the Council for Mineral Technology. I still maintain my interest in minerals processing doing the occasional consulting, mentoring and teaching. I'm currently an active member of a local Toastmasters club serving as treasurer.
