This letter and attached form, from Derek Puplett, is a 'very' official offer of a place at CSTS in 1961:

CSTS Official Letter 2 - Derek Puplett
CSTS Official Letter 3 - Derek Puplett

....Derek adds: I came across the attached letter and form from the Croydon Council Education Committee. How things have changed - The confirmation had to be signed by my dad - mum was clearly not acceptable!

This letter - strictly speaking not 'official', was written by Mr. Ratcliffe (English Teacher) thanking Chas Moody for a rather short notice decision to include him in the cast of the School Play 'I Killed The Count' in 1963.

Letter from Mr Ratcliffe

Chas Moody entered Croydon Secondary Technical School in 1959.

This letter from Colin Bamford in 1957 is ..nearly.. an official offer of a place at CSTS, subject to success at the 'oral' examination.

CSTS Official Letter 1 - Colin Bamford

....Colin adds: "I came across this letter yesterday when going through some old papers and stuff. I must have attended the interview but do not remember the slightest thing about it. My Father must have taken me as I had no idea where the school was at that time. My earliest recollection is being late on my first day there. It was pouring with rain and I rode my bike up Purley Way with my yellow cycling cape flapping in the wind. Took me a lot longer than I thought, not a great start. Maybe that is why Charlie Chapman took a disliking for me right from the get go!"

This letter, addressed to Colin's parents, from the headmaster C.J. Chapman in 1958, requests a meeting at CSTS.

CSTS Official Letter 2 - Colin Bamford

Colin attended Croydon Secondary Technical School 1958 - 1960.

This letter, addressed to Charles Little's parents, from the headmaster C.J. Chapman in 1963, is a sort of 'character reference' and details upcoming GCE Examinations.

CSTS Official Letter 3 - Charles Little

Charles entered Croydon Secondary Technical School in 1958.

Do you still have any 'official' CSTS letters?, if so, they could be added here. Please contact Tim Ecott HERE.
